Fun, Feet and Footpaths

Our mum loved life and was full of fun - what one might call a 'sunny personality'. At 17 she lost her own mum giving her a strength of character and resourcefulness that was un-rivalled. She trained as a nurse and got promoted to Ward Sister and was extremely highly regarded by those she worked with (her leaving reference was astounding). She and Tony (our Dad) met through the Youth and Tennis Clubs in Staines and she bore four kids, with all of us still reflecting different elements of her personality. She was such a hard worker, and in the 1970's created her own Chiropody practice that she ran successfully for many years. She loved lots of things including long distance walks, the odd G&T (but never to excess), toffees (always to excess), wild flowers, The Church, singing (mainly in Church), sermons in Church (I know!!!!!), Wales, Wimbledon and - most of all - our Dad.
