Nick was a lover of life. His favourite things were Prog Rock, steam engines and sport. And of course, his family. He was a generous man, always ready to help out, especially with information on directions, or the best pub to go to. He enjoyed going to gigs and to the theatre, and planned all family trips in fine detail. He loved taking photographs and would often be left behind as he attempted to take the perfect shot. He will be very much missed by everyone who knew him. Dream on, on to the heart of the sunrise.

Met Nick on the first day of our A levels in September 1975, and we shared a couple of courses for two years. With other close friends we went eveywhere. I remember his 18th birthday meal at the pub in Cross, parties at The Star in Cleeve, where he turned up as a 'rocker' in a pin stripe suit !! He was always smiling, always the best of fun, even when we all accidentally damage the floor of Winscombe village hall, whilst experimenting with dry ice for a disco we were running. Spent a little time with him over the last 20 years, he was going to take me around to meet everyone at the 'Constitution Club'.. Tremendous loss, a very , very good mate. Julian xx
