Alex was a very strongwilled and independant boy who loved to build lego, listen to music, watch his favourite films and play on his xbox. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends. he was cheeky, and had a good sense of humour too.
Over the past year he fought bravely against cancer, a Glioblastoma, in his brain. Despite having been told a few months before he died that the cancer was terminal, Alex remained a fighter and refused to let it get the better of him and set about ticking things off his bucket list. Even toward the end he insisted on being independant and doing things for himself, he certainly was stubborn.
Unfortunately he developed a chest infection just before christmas and he was just too weak to fight it and he passed away peacefully with his family around him

One year has past, there’s not a moment when I don’t think about what a brave boy you were, the fun times we had and the sad but they are memories I will cherish forever.
You were such a fighter! you must get that from your mum because she hasn’t stopped fighting for you and lots of other children with cancer. Liberty misses you so much, she’s still looking after you hat!! I miss your cheeky smile and your love for chocolate cake - eating it in bed then hiding the crumbs not knowing we could all see you your mums running a marathon today- she must be mad! But it’s all for you and to raise lots of money to help lots of other sick children, I know you will be watching over her and keep her going and safe- the tide could wash her away lol .
As for Steve he’s now completed his 12 in 12 silly bugger!! I’ve had to fix his smelly feet after one race, I’m sure he will say that every mile was worth it! , it seems you have really inspired a lot of people to run #RunforAlex as they’ve raised over 15,000 which is amazing and there not stopping yet. I will love you forever fly high little Angel love Mel xxxxxx

Alex you were not only my friend but you were my brother in respect and you will always be my brother , I've known you all my life and looking back we have had the greatest memories such as walking to school and you talking about sausage party and saying it was messed up and I started laughing my head off , I'm never going to forget those times we had and I will cherish them forever. I'm always thinking of you and wondering how cheeky your being up there , love you lots , UTG⚪️❤️
Alex i didn't know you as well as others & only seen you when i came to see your mum but when I did you always came across as a lovely boy along with your brother and sister. No more suffering for you now sweetheart but are going to be missed not only by your family but from everyone that met you alone your short journey. So glad you asked Steve to look after your mum for you down here & from upstairs you can keep an eye on all of them you rest in peace now darling ️ xx
Alex, you were beautiful inside and out, always with a cheeky smile. You were so strong and brave right from the beginning of your journey and your Mum and family are so proud of you sleeping in peace now, no more struggling, you will always be a huge part of your family and loved forever. Sleep tight darling xx
Alex I looked after you as a small boy at nursery in Derby and saw you grow and then along came Ryan and Ciara you two lovely siblings. As a little boy you used to make me smile as you were cheeky and knew what you wanted and you had a strong personality. And also you were so cute! You grew and shaped up to be a fine young boy. I really got on with your mum Becca too. And I always kept in touch by Facebook and enjoyed watching you grow and looking at the photos Becca posted of you, Ryan and Ciara. You leaving us, has been heart breaking it truly has. But I know you will live on in every ones memories. Fly high Alex. All my love Becky xxXXX
