My wonderful , caring , funny Father , who taught me 2 be honest , to work hard , play hard & treat people , the way we’d wanted to be treated ourselves. You gave me a great platform in life , always put your family 1st , we’ve grew up , with a terrific sense of humour , even like this , when times are tough , it is our strength at this sad moment.i bet your making them laugh up there , their gain is our loss , loved you so much , you legend Spikeo xxx

Sorry to hear of the sad loss of a friend granfer ray was a lovely man lots of love to margaret and family xx
I will always carry with me fond memories of a dear uncle, Ray you always made us laugh with your jokes. Also you saying "don't call me uncle just call me Ray," (made you feel younger as we grew up). Sending all my love to Auntie Marge, David, Julie, Mike, Jen, Shannon, Robin and Dan at this sad time. Xxx
You were a top man who will be sorely missed. I always enjoyed our chats about football and will never forget watching the game at Hallen with you, where you made one of the funniest comments I've ever heard (unfortunately not suitable to be written here haha). Rest in peace Ray. Love Dan xx
Popeye I will miss a lot, i have got some wonderful memories of past holidays and family meals out, you were a one in a million, they don’t make them like you anymore.
A true gentleman,, with a mischievous smile & an infectious laugh, family meals will never be the same without you , never a problem for you to order off the menu as long as they had fish & chips & your normal comment when there was leftovers "bang it over ere" . I will miss my Sunday morning Cappuccinos with you Ray, we will make sure Marge doesn't spend all your money ! R.I.P .with love always Julie xxx
To my amazing and wonderful grandad Ray aka Arkwright (although u didn't like us calling u grandad haha), thank you for being the person u were. Such a caring and loving man who would do anything for us.
I remember when u used to say to me that if u ever won the lottery, u would make sure me and Robyn would always be "alright," but to be honest between u and nan, u did that anyway :)
I'll always remember out trips to the park when I had nothing but a football in my hand and we would be there for hours on end, and at the swimming pool where u would always let me stand on ur shoulders haha.
Those memories and many more I will cherish and always keep in my heart.
U will forever loved and missed but u will always be in our heads and hearts. And don't u worry, we will all look after our Nan. We will take good care of her for u.
If love could have saved u, u would have lived forever.
Rest in Peace Arkwright, and we will meet again up the golden gallipers. Heaven has well and truly gained an Angel.
I love you.

Thanks for being a great dad. Your love and guidance shaped my life. You had a quiet strength I always admired. Will miss your sense of humour, your infectious laugh. Your kindness to family and others had no limits. You were simply a great bloke who will be sorely missed and whom I loved dearly. Rest in peace now until we meet again. We will take care of mum just like you would have wanted. All our love, David, Julie, Robyn, Shannon and Dan xx
