Darin was born a fighter.
He fought a brain tumour with courage and through all of his tough times and tough treatments, his smile won everyone over.
He touched the lives of many people and left a lasting impression on all of us. Anyone who has met Darin will certainly never forget him.
Although we seem so far apart,
You’re always here within my heart.
You filled my life with joy and pleasure
You were to me a precious treasure.
A little while shall pass and then,
We’ll see each other once again.
Loved, remembered and held so dear,
In minds and hearts you’re always here.

It isn’t meant to be this way. Our hearts break for Lucy and family at the sad loss of Darin. Rest in peace young man, free from the suffering you’ve endured for so long. Sending big hugs from us all. XXXX

Darin has undoubtedly left his indelible mark on the consciousnesses of the people he's met in his 17 years. I'll have memories of his grin and creative collage skills along with
One particular moment that keeps coming to mind is taking 10 minutes out of a busy day of activities to just lie on our backs on the grass beneath a huddle of trees on a midsummers day. It was sunny and warm but we kept getting showers so we lay on our waterproofs and just faced the sky with the rustle of leaves overhead in the breeze and sunlight dappling through amongst the clouds. But for the soft hush of the trees it was silent and out of the quiet came Darin's voice saying how peaceful it was and that he liked it after all the noise of the day.
I agreed. This is a wonderful memory of the cheeky chap that will stay with me forever.
Let me reassure you, Lucy and family, that he was a pleasure to have known and laughed with. Even when he banished me to Plymouth from Bristol :)

I am sad that your time has been short but pleased you had the opportunity to become more independent at your new school in Exeter. I know you were so keen to become more grown up . I will remember your time with us at Culverhill school , with your ability to create wonderful pieces of art that often could not fit through the door, amazing recollection of times tables and ability to make us laugh even when it wasn't always appropriate!
I feel honoured to have met you and your amazing family who showed so much love and support for you. Mrs Carolyn Cook
We love you Lucy! I wish I could be there with you tomorrow. I will be praying for strength and peace. Soo much to be proud of, you are one of the best moms I know and I am lucky to call you my friend!

We Give our condolences, as Darin was a brilliant young person with a cheeky, yet witty sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Darin was such an amazing fighter of this horrid disease. So pleased we met him and Lucy and shared some special times. Sending love, Karen, Graham, Grace, Niamh and Orla
We took Darin on many holidays, I will always remember his love of anything to do with post! He was a unique and special little boy who touched many that walked in his path.
Darin. How I will miss your smile and your laughter! We had such a good time together at the Youth Club and I learnt a great deal from you. Who will play snooker and connect4 with me now, or dance on Shakira You seem so present and yet so far... You will be remembered my friend.
Will miss your visits for your favourite cheese on toast, our conversations that we didn't share with anyone else, who will help me now to open my parcels, but most of all will miss you my brave young friend.
