My dad Philip Mackie was a retired policeman who enjoyed his life to the full and was, as many have described him, a 'larger than life' character. He loved fishing so much so that he led a salmon fishing syndicate on the River Wye which he dedicated a lot of time and effort to and was appreciated by all members. He was also dedicated to masonry, but mostly he loved his family. He was the best dad in the world and the most loving husband for my mum. He is, and always will be, much loved and missed.
